Mykola Taran, ambassador of the Svitlana Legka’s Charity Foundation “Svitlii”, will take part in the Marine Corps Marathon in the USA, which will take place on October 27 in Washington. The Marine Corps Marathon is one of the largest and most popular marathons in the United States. About 30,000 participants from all over the world take part in the 42 km distance every year. The history of this race dates back to 1976.
However, Mykola Taran, the ambassador of the Svitlana Legka’s charitable foundation “Svitly”, does not look for easy ways. This time he chooses a distance of 50 km to present Ukraine and support an important mission – collecting funds for an evacuation car for medics of the 3rd border detachment.
Mykola Taran is an ultramarathon runner, four-time record holder of Ukraine in the ultramarathon, organizer of charity races in Europe and the USA. His goal is to run for each of us, for each contribution that will help Ukrainian defenders. Every kilometer covered by Mykola brings us closer to the important goal of saving lives.

The race will start in Arlington, near the Pentagon, and will finish at the monument to the marines “Iwo Jima” – those who gave their lives in all armed conflicts.
Together we can turn every kilometer into help. This is more than a race, it is a common goal that unites us all in the desire to help and be useful.
